Hello Everyone!
I am sorry for not posting this earlier but I have moved my Tumblr to nmcswiney.tumblr.com and will mostly be posting there.
Thank you for your patience :)
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted any of my own art, so here! Have some sketches!
Top Image: This is a sketch of a really personal piece that I hope to start sometime soon. I’ve debating back and forth for the past couple days whether I want to do this with traditional media or digitally. There’s advantages to both for a couple of reasons, but I won’t bore you all with the details. Anyway, at the moment, I’m leaning towards doing painting this with my faithful combo of watercolors, ink, and colored pencils, but I change like the wind so who know what it’ll look like when it’s actually finished. I’m also thinking of making a dual typographic piece of this, which I will almost certainly be doing digitally, so keep a look out!
Bottom Image: This was a result of one of my Friday night doodle sessions. I’ve noticed that I really do not draw older people. Like, at all. So, in an attempt to remedy that, I drew the grandparents of one of my original characters. As characters, I really like them, so I hope that I’ll get better at drawing older people as time goes on so I can draw these two more often.
Full-scale male T-Rex head display from Jurassic Park (Universal, 1993).
This is a full-scale male T-Rex head created from the original molds and hand-painted by the same artists responsible for designing and sculpting the original characters for Jurassic Park. Created of foam latex over an inner fiberglass shell, with steel bracing, this impressive head was built for exhibit in Stan Winston’s famed display room at Stan Winston Studio. Mounted on a welded steel floor base. Measures approx. 68 in. tall (on base) x 98 in. long. x
It’s fucking magnificent.
Yet another thing I’ve been meaning to post for months, but haven’t had the right mind to post. @ n @
Some of you may remember my bizarro alien things the Stilted Sphinxes, Misera and Dontscary’s Adagio. Considering how much I love making species and such, I wrote up the entire scope of their genetics and all that, right down to the last little genetic disease. *crazy person* So along with the drawing of the skeletal structure and the basic body anatomy, I’m finally sharing all there is to know about these guys~ :D Just click the “Read More”!

Scumbag Artist: Begins self-portrait, looks like Skwisgaar Skwigelf.
Sketch phase of a work that I intend to see through to the finish.
A little ref sheet I’m working on of a new character~
I’ve been farting around with the idea of a literal tiger shark and started concepting this fella out the other day. He’s supposed to have a very tropical fish sort of feel in color and depending on how “sharky” he’s feeling his face and body change to feature more shark-like attributes or if he’s swimming he’s naturally more shark-like.
His official name is El Diablo del Lago or in Spanish, “The Devil of the Lake”. Been calling him Del or Del Lago for short. I’m hopefully going to be making a figurine of this guy for an upcoming class I’m teaching! 8D
